Founded in 2009, Ecotel is a Canadian cellular operator registered with the ITU and the CRTC, deploying robust infrastructures to cover remote areas and automate the processes of several industrial customers. Since 2017, Ecotel has been working on the LTE Haute-Mauricie project which consists of deploying Internet services in rural communities that currently have neither access to high-speed technology nor LTE service.
